Looking for your new favorite Cup or dish? You can find something in pottery and porcelain fair 2011 in Fukuoka.Plate part: people attend last year pottery and porcelain fair. Some 200,000 works of pottery and porcelain made by 200 studies of ceramics of Japan will be exhibited and sold at the fair, to be held at Marine Messe in Fukuoka City, through March 21. Among the works of Kyushu are ceramic colorful Saga Prefecture Arita-yaki porcelain and ceramics of Mikawachi-yaki blue and white of Nagasaki Prefecture.


The traditions that are based on go back to the 17TH century. The annual event of pottery and porcelain began in the city in 1999. Prices of dishes sold at the fair vary, but the more popular works to obtain up to ¥ 3,000, according to the Organizer.The fair also hosts several events, including a pottery workshop where visitors can use a pottery wheel. Adults and children of three and up can join. The works are baked for a fee of ¥ 1,200 more delivery.Other attractions include a kitchen and an alimentos-acuerdo class taught by Chizue Yamagiwa, a popular chef who teaches at the television, and live the ikebana flower arrangements in vases ceramic or porcelain made by local artists of ikebana of Fukuoka. The fair also include a selection of food from all Japan.Ceramics and porcelain of 2011 fair will be held until March 21 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on 21 March (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) at Marine Messe in Fukuoka Citylocated in mount a bus for 18 minutes from JR Hakata station or mount a 13-minute by bus from Tenjin station.
